Are you happy?

Today I want to touch on something a little thought-provoking. I’ll also share part of my own story, in the hope it might help you move forward with your own goals in life.

Are you happy?
And I mean really — how often do you truly ask yourself that question?
To answer it honestly, we need a quiet moment. No noise, no phone, no distractions. Just you.
How do you want your life to look?
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be close to nature. Outside. Free. Honestly, I think I would have made a very happy cave woman 😊
But life took me through many different roles — working in hotels, as a nanny, waitress, manager, sales assistant. And through all of it, something always felt… missing.
Like many of us, I thought success meant more — more money, more recognition, more achievement. And yes, I gained a lot from those experiences. I learned, I grew.
But I also realised something important: That world wasn’t mine.
It was a world where you give everything — your time, your energy, your family moments — and somehow it still feels like it’s not enough.

How long will you wait to find your own happiness?
For me, I waited too long.
My body eventually forced me to stop. During one of the most stressful periods of my life, I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease.
I was exhausted, constantly ill, running on stress and survival. Looking back, my body had been whispering for a long time… and then it started shouting.
“Make a change.”
And eventually, it made me stop.
Maybe things would have been different if I had listened earlier. I’ll never know. But what I do know is this:
Your body always speaks to you. The question is — are you listening?

So let me ask you this…
Are you waiting for a breaking point before you make a change?
Do you know what truly supports your health and happiness?
For a long time, I was searching in the wrong places.
Today, I understand that my happiness looks very different.
It’s slower. Simpler. More intentional.

What does happiness look like for me now?
I’m a single mum. I don’t have family around to help with daily life. But I’ve built a small circle of people I trust deeply. That is happiness.
I wake up early. I move my body, I create space in my mind, I prepare for the day with intention. That is happiness.
I spend time with my daughter — we talk, laugh, walk, read, play simple games. That is happiness.
We don’t fill our evenings with screens. Instead, we connect. We slow down. We read books. We rest. That is happiness.
It’s not perfect. It’s not always easy. But it’s aligned.

Do you make time for yourself?
Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be yours.
In today’s world of convenience, we’ve drifted away from what truly supports our bodies —simple routines, real connection, slower living.
Many of us are living comfortably… but not necessarily consciously.
And yet, deep down, most of us already know what feels good. We know what supports our health. We know what brings us back into balance.
So what are you waiting for?
There is no perfect time. There is only a choice.
No matter your situation — whether you feel supported or not, whether life feels easy or challenging — you still have the ability to choose something for yourself.
Especially as women, we often give everything to others.
But the truth is:
If you don’t take care of yourself, you won’t be able to take care of anyone else in the long run.

So today, I invite you to reflect…
This might feel like a challenging message — and not everyone will resonate with it. And that’s okay.
But if something in you is stirring, listen to it.
Choose yourself.
Make space for self-care.
Nourish your body in a way that supports you.
Create small daily rituals that bring you back to balance.
And most importantly…
Stop saying you don’t have time.
Because you do.
The real question is: What are you choosing to do with it?
Love
